Today we put the panels on the car.Wauge did a great job on what we wanted to show on the car. We are still waiting on the F1 for the rear quarter panels and some graphics for the nose piece and hood..Send me an email and let me know what you think of the new design..My wife liked the old one better..Hope that isn't the general consensus. We will be taking the car to the motor builders the monday after xmas (hopefully) and are hoping to have it all ready to race by the first of the year.
2004-11-23 - November 23 update
The car is coming along nicely..we have most of the cockpit done and the top decking in place..going to fit the hood and roof and all nerfs and bumpers in the next few days..talked to the motor builder today and the new heads are going to be no problem to fit to the engine..he had originally had some concerns that the pistons might need to be replaced to fit these new heads but they are fine. we are hoping to have the car completed by the first of year.

Well today we finally picked up the frame from the painters. it is a wild dark flurescent orange/red and looks awesome..Brian, Jordan, ray, jake and my dad all pitched in and we got a lot done for the first nite..check back from time to time to see updated pictures of the progress of the car
2004-10-27 - Latest update
It is October 27th and we are anxiously awaiting the new 2005 BMS car that will be here sometime next week. We are going to have the frame painted a flurescent red/orange and go with a little different graphic scheme for next year. Don't worry, there will still be lots of bright flurescents, it will just be laid out a little differently. I am taking the motor over to the motor builders next week to have the new steel heads put on so that we can travel and race at different tracks..We are heading to Arizona late January for 10 days and six nites of racing. We are looking forward to trying out the new car and motor and getting the bugs worked out for the new season. I hope everyone has a good off season and will have more updates/pictures as we start working on the new car soon.
2004-09-19 - Saturday in Yreka
Well, this was the last race of the season for us..We started the nite poorly by spinning in the heat race and getting hit hard in the drivers door..we were unable to finish the race and had to start the b-main, 3rd row outside. We finished fourth and transferred to the a-main, where we started in the 22nd spot. We made some changes to the car before the main and man, the car was fast, we were able to run the high groove for the first half of the race and got our way up to 7th with about 10 laps till the end when we lost brakes in the car..this made it impossible to continue to run up high, so we bottum fed with the leaders and finished in 7th..we were happy to end the season that way and will start tearing the car down this week..The frame is going to Rayburns to have some bent bars replaced. The frame and front suspension will be sold to make room for the new chassis that will be here in the next month or so. I have bought steel heads to run on the mighty mopar for next year so that we can run at tracks other than medford and Yreka. I want to say thanks to all of my sponsors and to my pit guys, jake, seth, chris, ray, brian, my dad and monte williams. We are already making plans for next season and hope to see you all then.

I can definetely tell it is getting down to the end of the season..My head is not into racing at all with the baby only a month away and lots of honey do's around the house..In the heat race i started 2nd row outside and was in second within a lap..the leader blew a engine and we were running in first for a few more laps until i pulled a rookie mistake and drove in high in turns 3&4 and allowed the second place car to pass me..we finished 2nd. That race leaders car broke down so we got to run the tropy dash where we started outside row one and screwed up again in turns 3 & 4..we finished 4th. In the main event, we started outside row one again and we led most of the main until a yellow came out and my brain decided to shut down...when we went green again, held the lead for another couple of laps until i bobbled again in one of the corners and got passed..we were running second until went into turn one too high and almost spun out allowing another car to pass us. We were running 3rd until Silva passed us down low and he had to check up to keep from hitting another car causing him to spin in front of me...i hit the side of him, straightening him out and causing me to get hit in the passenger door by another car..His bumper ended up in my cockpit on top of my arm..the had to get a wrecker to lift him off of my car..we had a flat which i took to the pits and the guys fixed it and got me back out..there was only 3 laps left and i think we ended up around 8th or ninth..We have one more week and the season is over..Hopefully we can end on a good note. See ya in Yreka
2004-09-08 - Friday and Saturday at SOS-Lon Skinner
Friday nite the track was the tackiest i have ever run on...We just could not get the car unhooked enough for qualifying and ended up a dismal 20th out of 28 cars..We had to run the B-dash and finished second..That was all for friday nite.
On saturday, we had to run a b-trophy dash which determined your starting position in the B-main. We finished 4th but on the last lap, i clipped the back stretch wall and bent the panard bar (again) and a couple of tie rods. We got it fixed in time for the 25 lap B-main, where we finished 3rd...This started us about 18th for the $3000 to win A-main. The car was actually pretty good and we were slowly moving our way to the front when with about 20 laps down, there was a crash and we were running under yellow for about 5 laps when i noticed my oil pressure warning lite starting to flicker and then finally just stayed on. I shut down the motor and got pushed back in to the pits thus ending our nite.. Turns out that my braided oil lines that run to the remote oil filter were rubbing against each other and had rubbed a hole in one of the hoses and it pushed all of the motor oil out of the engine and on to the track..We fixed the lines and fired the motor and have good oil pressure. I am taking the filter to the motor builder on Thursday to have it cut open and make sure that there are no metal shavings in it..We are planning on finishing out the season down in Yreka. (assuming that the oil filter doesn't have any metal in it)

Finally got the A-main dnf monkey off our back at yreka on saturday nite..We started our heat race on the pole and won it...in the trophy dash we started outside pole and took the lead out of turn two...went in high in turn 3 and wauge took back the lead..finished second.
Started the 50 lapper A-main on the outside pole..the track went dry slick especially in the upper groove...on the start we got freight trained by 3 cars and ran 4th until the 25 lap break..after starting the second leg of the 25 lapper, we passed brian poppa coming out of turn 4 putting us into 3rd..we ran that way until i bobbled coming out of 2 and got passed by a car..we ran in fourth for about 5 more laps before another bobble cost us that position..we ended up the race in 5th place. Didn't tear anything up on the car and will race next weekend in medford for the $3000 to win Lon Skinner Memorial.

We actually had a good nite at the Southern Oregon Speedway this weekend. We tried some different springs in the front end to help with the handling of the car and boy did it make a difference..In the heat race, we started 3rd row outside and within one lap had moved into second...going into turn one, we went in hard and cut down sharply and passed the leader coming out of 2 and quickly built a good lead..on lap six we had over a straightaway lead on the second place car and going into turn 3, i went in a little too hard and spun out..luckily i was able to keep the motor running and got it going without losing the lead..they pulled the yellow out for some reason so on the restart we again pulled to a good lead where we finished in first.. We lined up on the outside pole for the fast dash and won that..That is our second trophy dash win of the season.. We were pretty jazzed about our prospects for the feature, where we were starting on the outside pole. By the time our main came around the track had gone totally dry slick except for a six inch wide groove on the very top of the track..We went into turn one hot and pushed up the track allowing about 5 cars to pass us on the inside..we raced in about 10th place for a while until i moved to the bottum groove and started passing cars again..we got up to 7th when the panard bar bolt that held the bar to the frame backed out and the panard bar dropped down and the rearend started moving all around...luckily a yellow came out and we went to the pits to try to fix it..the green came back out before we got it fixed but luckily a red came out almost immedietely and we got the bar back on the car and entered the race in 24th..we worked our way back up the 18th as the checkered fell. All in all not a bad nite..i think we finally figured out a decent SOS setup..We will be back here for the Lon Skinner two day show labor day weekend. We will be in Yreka on the 28th of Aug. for a $1000 to win show
2004-08-16 - Saturday at Yreka
Well...we had a good nite at yreka for the most part...we started on the pole of the 4th heat with Travis peery, Rich Mccoy, Lenny toolanen and one other and ended up winning it by about 5 car lenghts..we started on the pole of the trophy dash and finished second behind Dustin Jenks. In the main event, we started 5th row inside and worked our way past a couple of cars before getting involved with a car that spun out in front of me...i had no where to go so had to spin out to avoid him and got hit in the rear end and broke a panard bar mount on the rear end thus ending our nite and adding to our list of DNG's for the season...
This next weekend, we will be racing at Medford..I know i said that we wouldn't be back, but we have a lot of sponsors who want to see us at Medford as well as fans and family members. We will be back in Yreka the following week

2004-08-02 - Saturday @ SOS
Well what can i say....the crashfest at SOS continued for us again this weekend. We started our heat race in the second row inside...coming out of turn 2, the #71 car got crossed up and came down into us and started to turn us sideways and was hit by #28 car trying to pass us on the inside. He launched off the front end of my car destroying both left side rims and tires. We also lost the right front rim from the #71 car. We were able to go in and get the tires changed and finished the heat race in 6th. We made some changes for the B-main where we started in the 4th row outside..we were able to work our way up to 3rd by the time the checkered flag fell. That got us into the main event where we started 19th out of 23 cars..track was terribly rough and full of holes...a lot of cars crashed and we wound up in 12th when the race was called due to a bad crash on the backstretch..We are going to run the rest of the season down at Yreka Ca. We might run the Lon Skinner race in early sept but am just sick and tired of spending about $500 to put the car back together after running the SOS speedway. It just depresses me because i like the people at the track and have a great fan base that shows up each week, but i just can't justify the expense anymore..I think the speedway has issues that need to be addressed (track prep, safety, flagging)before we will come back on a continuous basis.
We are off again this next weekend (Aug 7th) and will be racing at Yreka on the 14th...

2004-07-26 - Saturday July 24th
We were off this weekend due to Medford and Yreka shutting down for the fair. I went up to Cottage Grove with Ron Possinger and pitted for him and to also hear the response on Cottage Groves putting before the drivers a request for us aluminum headed motors to be able to run with them for the rest of the year. They voted it down, so we are going to finish the season running medford once or twice more and racing at Yreka the rest of the time. We will be at Southern Oregon Speedway this weekend and will be off the 7th of August and racing at Yreka the following weekend
2004-07-19 - Friday nite at Cottage Grove-NW Mod Nationals
Well, we traveled to Cottage Grove for the NW Mod Nationals. There were 44 cars that showed up for that nite adn we timed in a lousy 28th. We started our heat race in 6th and finished 5th. They only took the top two out of the heat races, so we had to run a consi race where they took the top four to the A-qualifing main. We finished 5th. So we then ran the last chance race where we finished 3rd to transfer to the A-qualifier. 3 laps into the race, we had a racer who had his head up his posterior, run over our front left part of the car, breaking a couple of tie rods and smashing in our muffler, header and header tube. That ended our nite and we thrashed on the car until 3am. We stumbled our way back to bed and got up the next morning at about 9 and continued thrashing on the car until about 4 that afternoon (saturday). Car was ready for Saturday nites program.
2004-07-19 - Saturday nite at NW Mod Nationals
Wow....what a difference a day makes. Brian Poppa came over saturday afternoon while we were putting the car back together and helped us with the setup for saturday nite. We went out for hot laps and i could immedietely tell that the car was going to be better. We started our heat race on the outside pole and ran the first lap side by side, going into turn one, got together with the leader and we spun out and had to go to the back of the pack....within 3 laps we had worked our way back up to 2nd where we finished. That transferred us to the A qualifyer where we started 8th and worked up to 5th...was racing back and forth with Dane Smith and Dan Estramado. We ended up 7th which put us on the 7th row outside for the big money race.
Started the A main in 14th and started the race of my life...i have never had a car handle the way the 2004 BMS Mopar powered did that nite. We could run the high groove, the middle groove or the low groove. Had a lot of great side by side racing with Mark Wauge, Dustin Jenks, Richard Pappenhausen. When the final checkered fell, the PSI Mopar was in 4th place for a nice $600 check. We are going to try to run the grove again this following weekend.

Well another nite of carnage happened at the speedway this weekend. In the heat race, i clipped the front straight wall at the green flag and proceeded to bend the panard bar which caused the rearend to move over and the right rear tire started to rub on the frame rail, about 6 laps into the race we got a mechanical black flag for a smoking car..we got the car fixed for the main event where we started 8th row inside..we worked our way up to about 6th when going into turn 3, we got taken out by another modified and broke a shock mount. none the less, we added another dnf to our resume for the season. After assessing the damage sunday while washing the car, makes me want to finish out the season at the Yreka track. Seems we can go run down there and not do any damage to the car. We will be off this next weekend (July 17th)as we will be up at Cottage grove for their 2 day $4500 to win race. We will be back at SOS the following weekend.
2004-07-06 - Sunday in Yreka
Wow...what a difference a day makes. we put on the soft setup to run Yreka and had a blast...Started the heat race on the pole with Wauge behind me...Led the whole thing and won it...started the trophy dash 2nd row inside..on the first lap, passed toolanan and followed salyer for a lap until made the move on the back stretch and took the lead to the white flag...went in too hard into turn one and spun out.....Started the main in the 4th row inside and immedietely passed three cars to move up into fourth...again went into turn 3 too high and looped it and had to go to the back of the 23 car field...the car was flying and we were up to about 9th when again got up in the marbles and looped it and again went to the back of the 22 car main....with about five laps to go, worked our way up the 13th when the checkered flag fell....Had a great time down there in Yreka and loaded the car with nothing but a bent front bumper...Am planning to run in Medford next week..Funny thing is i am not very excited about that...Seems like we have been fighting that rough bumpy track without any success...am going to try some changes to the car to see if we can make it a little more smoother thru the ruts..
2004-07-05 - saturday at SOS
Well tonite was the big 50 lapper...we started our heat race on the pole with jenks outside. he got a good start and we followed him for a few laps until i went into turn three too hard and ended up pushing to the top, alfray and mcdaniel passed me and i settled into fourth and fought with estramado for 3 laps for the fourth and final transfer spot to the a main...we started in the 8th row inside and moved up a couple of spots until wauge checked up coming out of two and i had to slam on the brakes too miss him and a few cars passed on the high side...the track went really rough but stayed tacky...we did not have a good car the rest of the rest and ended up finished 12h
2004-06-28 - saturday at SOS
Wow...what a nite....we decided to go ahead and try some new "trick" suspension changes...i learned something new....just because it works back in the midwest...it don't neccasarily work here...we started 3rd row outside in our heat and finished fourth...car was a handful...started 10th in the carnage called the A-main...car wouldn't handle to save my life...was pushing, bouncing and just all around sucky...they put us down for 8th????? We are going to the notebook to the earlier part of the season when we had the car handling and could at least keep it in a straight line for this next weekend...The track was really rough and there was a lot of carnage to a lot of the cars...Hopefully SOS will work a little harder on track prep for the big 50 lapper on the 3rd of July
2004-06-20 - Saturday in Yreka
Started 2nd row outside in our heat...finished 2nd...started on outside pole in fast dash and finished 3rd behind Poppa and lenz...We started again on outside pole in the main event. the track was smooth and super dry slick..the only traction out there was about a foot of moisture on the very bottum..on the start, i got stuck up high while lenz and lenny got by..poppa jumped in the early lead only to be passed by lenz about 10 laps into the race...from then on it was just follow the leader for the remainder of the race...we ended up 4th behind lenz, poppa and lenny t. All in all, was a good nite...didn't tear anything up and finished in top 5
2004-06-19 - saturday at SOS
It was a nite for mechanical failures...started on pole in heat race and was leading when i got the mechanical black flag for fuel leaking out of the tank...turns out the fitting for the overflow hose had come loose...started second to last row in main and a weld holding the splined coupler on the steering shaft broke and hit the back wall...didn't do any damage to car but was unable to finish the race...next week we will be in Yreka
2004-06-06 - Saturday June 5th 2004
We started the nite out on a different left rear suspension in the anticipation of a smooth slick track (boy were we way off)..Started the heat on the pole and won that (although it was far from pretty) the track was tacky and super rough...just bounced our way to the win...started the trophy dash in second row and finished last...car was just too unstable to try any passes...
We changed the left rear suspension back to what we have been running for the a-main...Started 3rd row outside and got passed by a few cars and was running around 10th until about 8 laps to go...we started running the high groove and passed 4 cars to finish 5th...all in all a good nite...didn't tear anything up...we are going to play with that left rear suspension again this weds at the test and tune.

2004-05-30 - Sunday In Yreka
Ran Yreka again on Sunday the 30th...Won the heat race, finished 2nd in the trophy and was 7th when they called the race early due to time constraints
2004-05-29 - Saturday In Yreka
We had a good nite in Yreka on Saturday the 29th...started our heat race on the pole and ended up finishing second to Rayburn Jr. Started the main in 3 row inside and ended up 3rd behind Pudge Toolanen(winner) and Rayburn Jr.
